What can I list?
We're here to help makers destash their crafting supplies. There are a few ways that you can destash here, and lots of things you could list.
Listing types
- Giveaway: Use this listing type if you want to give away items from your stash, rather than selling them. There will be no payment via Destashery, so if you want the buyer to cover postage then once you have been approached by a buyer you'll need to let them know how much to pay for postage and how to send you that money.
- Item for sale: Use this listing to sell items, for which you will specify the item price and shipping fees to the locations you have specified.
- Wanted: Use this listing to let the Destashery community know that you're looking for something in particular. Maybe an out of print or vintage pattern, for example.
What can I list? Here a some examples!
- Yarn
- Fabric
- Knitting needles and knitting supplies
- Sewing supplies, notions and gadgets
- Sewing and knitting reference books, pattern books and magazines*
- Sewing patterns
- Sewing machines, dress forms and similar equipment
- Garments or quilts you've made and no longer wear/use (within reason, and not if you are making them specifically for sale - Destashery is not for business/commercial use).
*Please ensure that you are within your rights to sell the items you have listed. For example, we have been advised that patterns provided with issues of Simply Sewing magazine cannot be listed for sale as their terms and conditions prohibit resale. However, they can be listed as Giveaway items if you would like to gift them to someone else.
